Concerning your very last question ... try 'Aplha' instead of 'Char'.

Please check that you have the environment variables TMP and TEMP defined, and they point to an area to which you have WRITE access.

Q-1--i do not get what you want to say by " try Alpha instead of Char "

Q-2--Also i do not know how to define/set TMP & TEMP parameter for ORACLE

pls guide me..u can reply me at dal_hit@yahoo.com

For your data field, access the Properties sheet and in the 'Data' section there is a class of 'Data Type'. Change this from 'Char' to 'Aplha'.

I have the impression that you are using Windows as your front end. Go to 'My Computer', right click and select Properties. On the tab marked Advanced there is a button marked 'Environment Variables', make sure that 'TEMP' and 'TMP' are both defined and they point to an area to which you have 'update' authority eg %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp
