Hi

I´m looking into alternatives to write a program to access a Oracle 8.1.6 database running on a solaris machine from a program running on a mVS machine.
I need to transfer information from a adabas file to a Oracle database, and would like to know what is the best way.
Can I use a MVS Oracle COBOL precompiler ?
What about a ProC precompiler for MVS ?

Thanks in advance,
Rodrigo

Rodrigo,

Have you looked into a couple of Treehouse (www.treehouse.com) products that do just that. They propagate ADABAS data to Oracle (and other relational database structures). Might just be the tool you need.
