For 9ias 9.0.2 on Solaris and starting emctl from a PC running X-windows emulation:
1.) use CSH not KSH (due to issue with closing a X-windows terminial after starting emctl)
2.) set environment to Infrastructure tier
3.) setenv DISPLAY your_pc:0.0
4.) emctl start
point browser to emwebsite (default port is 1810)
http ://hostname:1810
