URL from Discoverer Sheet Column on Portal? [message #111389] Wed, 16 March 2005 00:06 Go to next message

We are using 9i Portal to provide precached Discoverer worksheets.

One of the columns on the Discoverer worksheets is a FedEx tracking number. Is there any way to get the Discoverer worksheet on the Portal page to have a URL link to lookup the tracking number on FedEx's website that dynamically creates the URL using the Discoverer column value?

For example, the Portal page dislays 3 rows from the Discoverer workbook. The Tracking # column for the 3 rows are:
844246677109, 844246677110 & 660859404870.

We would love to have the same Portal page create a URL for each row that pulls in the Tracking # into the URL. For the first row, the dynamically-created URL would be:

http://www.fedex.com/Tracking?ascend_header=1&clienttype=dotcom&cntry_code=us&language=english&tracknumbers=844246677 109

Any advice?
