i have been tasked with amending a report written by someone else. having managed to find my way around most of the report creator environment i cannot find where the number of occurrences of a repeating frame is set. there are currently 7 occurrences regardless of data returned.

Can anyone help please?

Using report writer 6i. The report has a repeating frame, which, when run, always repeats seven times even if there are zero data items returned. I cannot find where the number of repats (7) is set.

For the repeating frame in question:

Open up the property palette of the repeating frame

Check the property "Maximum Records per Page"

If it says 7, you've found your culprit.

I looked at the property palette, no '7s' in evidence. Max records per page gives you the max repeats on a physical page and this one is repeating over a page boundary and with no data in the last 5 occurrences!
