Sr Database and Development Tools Specialist (E&P)
Location : Arabian Gulf
Salary : Negotiable
Full Time
Job Summary:
For the Computing and communications Department. Responsibilities include:
Identification, evaluation and introduction of new Database functionality
and tools.
Identification, evaluation and introduction of new Application development
technology and tools for different environments.
Support and improvements of the Oracle based Data Warehouse with advanced
Data modelling expertise and preferrably good exploration and production
Data/Business processes expertise.
Develop new specialised applications, lead development project teams and
train other staff in resolving technical application development and
Database problems.
Qualification & Experience Required:
Science graduate with at least 10 years experience in application
development and Database Administration/design in a corporate system
environment.
Minimum of 5 years experience in the area of Open Systems.
Minimum of 5 years experience in the Business Areas of Petroleum
Engineering, Exploration, Drilling or Operations.
Ability to work independently and assist in training and development of less
experienced staff.
Good interpersonal skills with fluency in written and spoken English.
Technical skills required: Unix (AIX), Oracle 7/8 Database Administration,
Oracle tools (Designer/Developer/), experience with Exploration &
Production Business, Data Warehousing.
