Is there a difference in the disk layout you need to have depending on whether or not you use RMAN with EMC Timefinder BCVs (Business Continuance Volumes) ?
Is it true that if using RMAN with BCVs you need to seperate the archive logs onto seperate disks groups than those of the datafiles, but, if you are not using RMAN you can have them all (data and archive and redo logs) in the same disk groups ?? ( i do not believe the latter is true ... but am not sure)
Basically the question is : Is it the case that archive logs should always be in seperate disk groups when using BCVs ?
