During the installation of Oracle8i Personal Edition Release 3 (8.1.7) for Microsoft Windows NT, I get the following Windows Explorer message: There was an internal error and one of the windows you were using has been closed. It is recommended that you save your work and close all programs, and then restart your computer.
I clicked OK and the install proceeded as expected.
Has anyone seen this message during an install?
Is there some Windows NT setting that needs adjustment?

I also have an NT4.0, sp6, network. And just today as I was logging onto the machines to install Access I got that error. It didn't seem to have any initial effect, as the install went on as it was supposed to. But I'll see what happens as the network gets put to use by users. If anyone has the reason for this error, I sure would like to know.

After ignore it several times, and reboot the machine,
blue scree occurs:

The dynamic link library winsrv could not be found in
the specified pat Default Load Path.
Beginning dump of physical memory.

I did not receive an answer to this problem. I recently installed Oracle8i Personal Edition Release 3 (8.1.7) on a new machine and did not experience this problem. My new machine and my old machine were both running NT 4.0 (Build 1381: Service Pack 6). The basic differences between my new machine and my old machine are: Pentium 4 vs. Pentium II, 256 MB RAM vs. 128 MB RAM, and 40 GB Disk vs. 6 GB Disk.
