To dear friends...i caught up in a problem....my oracle server is giving ORA-000472 : PMON process terminated with error. when i checked the PMON.trc trace file it has reported the below ones.....

*** SESSION ID:(1.1) 2001.12.11.14.06.37.000
error 470 detected in background process
OPIRIP: Uncaught error 447. Error stack:
ORA-00447: fatal error in background process
ORA-00470: LGWR process terminated with error
i don't know what to do.....i request u to help me in this regard...

I have the same problem on my standby database Oracle.
I will appreciate if you could give me some advices.

U can make "alter database open resetlogs"
