I've never installed Oracle on a Unix box before (only on NT). Do you need to install using the gui installer (runInstaller), or can you install 9i from the command line? after 2 tries and changing the kernel parameters I finally got it to install on a Sun Netra X1 box, but was curious about a non-GUI installation. Thanks

Hi,

I have to do just that and you suggested that you were successful on getting 9i onto/into a Netra X1.

Can you describe the steps in installing 9i onto/into Netra X1 using console - please.

I sent you a direct email, I hope that was okay?

All of the Best,
- Kyle.
