i have installed oracle 8 for Win NT, client on win98
i have oracle 8 server installed on another pc with WinNT
when i try to connect to server from win 98 using sqlplus
i get error tns could not Resolve service name
but the service is created(using net easy config) properly and test connection was also successful

if i try to connect through my software installed on win98
then it gives me error illegal operation performed

is it that Oracle 8 client does not work properly on win 98
what's the problem why am i not able to connect to the server ?
pls help
