My tnsnames.ora has service_name "oradb", given during install, which when entered into SQLPlus host string, along with scott & tiger yields ORA-12254 TNS: could not resolve service name. A blank host string field yields ORA-12203 unable to connect to destination.
Within the MS CommandPrompt (Windows 2K) I can invoke SQLPlus and enter username/password & connect to the oradb database, but have no success connecting from either Forms 6i or SQLPlus.
Any help is appreciated.
