HI all Oracle Gurus
I am new to the Oracle world . i had just installed Oracle 9i on my system O/S is windows XP . i was told that there is a default user made in it , Scott/tiger
i am trying to connect to it but i am have the following error
ORA-12560 TNS protocol adapter error
please help me

goto your ORACLE_HOME/network/admin.
EDIT your sqlnet.ora and comment all entries.
your ORACLE_HOME is the directory u have installed oracle .
like
c:oracleora92
c:oracleora92networkadmin
