SOLUTION TO : ORACLE INSTALLATION AND JAVA RUNTIME ENVIROMENT [[JRE]] PROBLEM

NOTHING TO WORRY EVERYTHING'S GONNA BE FINE AS YOUR MOTHER WOULD SAY.

THERE IS A FILE IN "<ROOT>INSTALL" DIRECTORY "oraparam.ini". THERE ARE TWO PARAMETERS SET "JRE_LOCATION" AND "OUI_LOCATION" WHICH SET THE PATH FOR THE FILES NEEDED TO RUN ORACLE INSTALLER USING ORACLE'S INSTALLER. MIND YOU INSTALLER DOESN'T DEPEND ON YOUR SYSTEM'S JRE.

NOW THE PROBLEM IS INSTALLER COULDN'T FIND THIS PATH. WHY? WELL THERE ARE MANY REASONS YOU WOULDN'T BE INTERESTED IN, WHAT YOU'LL BE INTERESTED IN IS THE SOLUTION. SO HAVE A LOOK HERE:

ORIGINAL FILE CONTENTS:

JRE_LOCATION=../stage/Components/oracle.swd.jre/1.1.8.10.0/1/DataFiles/Expanded/jre
OUI_LOCATION=../stage/Components/oracle.swd.oui/2.0.1.6.0/1/DataFiles/Expanded

WILL LOOK SOMETHING LIKE THIS.

TRY BROWSING THIS PATH. DID YOU FIND THIS FOLDER "ORACLE.SWD.JRE", NO BUT YOU CAN FIND [[IF YOU ARE HUNGRY]] IS "ORACLESWD.JRE" FOLDER. AND YOU CAN GET THE COMPLETE PATH TRAVERSING FROM THERE BY REMOVING SOME DOTS ".".

HERE IS WHAT I SET VARIABLES AFTER MAPPING PATHS:

JRE_LOCATION=../stage/Components/oracleswd.jre/11810.0/1/DataFiles/Expanded/jre
OUI_LOCATION=../stage/Components/oracleswd.oui/2016.0/1/DataFiles/Expanded

YOU MIGHT HAVE TO CHANGE THE PATH A BIT FOR DIFFRENET VERSIONS OF ORACLE. BUT IF YOU ARE INSTALLING ORACLE I HOPE U WILL SORT OUT THIS PATH MAPPING PROBLEM WITH THE HELP OF THIS FAQ.
