Hi, i'm currently installing and configuring Oracle 8.1.7 on Windows 2000 Server Service Pack 3.

I've created an Oracle Database and the listener is properly configured.

Using sqlplusw from my workstation, i'm able to remotly connect to my database.

When i issue an "netstat -an | more", my connection is not bind to port "1521" on the server but to an other one greater than 1024. Each connection i make is not bind to port "1521" on the server side.

On Unix and Linux, it's all different !!!
Each connection is realised on port "1521" of the server.

I've read that Oracle redirect port while connecting. I've put a registry entry "USE_SHARED_SOCKET" with the "TRUE" value, but it doesn't change anything !!!

Please, help
