hi,
I have problems installing Oracle 9i in Windows 2000 server edition. I already tried replacing symcjit.dll to symcjit.old. And it still doesn't work. I appreciate if you can help me!
Thank you,

hi,
the procedure seems to be install oracle9.1.0.1 first, then download the 9.2.03 patch from otn, and then install it and then create the database. but oracle9.1.0.1 itself is giving the errors "thrown when ip address can't be found.."etc. or the jre is crashing.. Is there a separate CD released for win2003 32-bit? or the otn-download is the only option? please help..
thanks

This Problem was solved By a simple modification in the network adapter.
1:Install a network adapter
2:Give a valid IP address so that when Oracle is initialised your Personnal Computer Shoud ahve an IP to work as a WORKSTATION.
Normally, windows 2003 server has not provided this facility for oracle installation.
Hope this will help all oracle user.
