I need to install personal oracle 8i on windows 98, but when i run the set up, it says

"illegal operation"

when i checked the details of the problem it read as

"JREW caused an invalid page fault in module javai.dll
at 017 f:ee3803a"

can u tell me what to do

What version of Java run time are you working on, if you can find the latest version of java run time (jre-something - sorrry cannot find the full file name - if i do then i'll re-post) then install it and retry, then it may just be a case of nicking the correct dll. However there may be links to other dll's like jvm.dll so just beware.

Copy the Installation CD files into ur system folder. Search for a file as *jit*.dll in the dump. And rename the file as .old. Now if u try to run the installer, u shud be able to install Oracle.
