I am running Oracle 8.1.5.0.0 on Windows XP. The installation was perfectly successful and the database was also created successfully. But on restart when i try to log on to oracle it gives the message as "Oracle not Available". But when i go to servermanager and manually try to startup the database i am able to use it.
Seems oracle is not starting automatically in XP. But when i look into process currently running, i do find oracle.exe, tnslsnr.exe and couple of other programs running.
please help
