I created system DSN successfully in ODBC setting on windows2000. Even the connection test in ODBC for this DSN is successful too. But when I was trying the connect the database using this DSN as connecting string, I got error like "the specified driver can not be load system error 5".

I tried to use the odbc for oracle driver from Microsoft. It then shows some enviroment setting fails
when I use that DSN.

What the hell happens with ODBC on windows2000?
Really need your advice.

I just want my ASP program talk to oracle9i on windows2000?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, I'm having the exact same problem right now, on XP professional. I got the same error message. Please let me know if you have solved the problem and how.

Thanks a lot!

Check the permission of the directory.
Make sure the directory is accessible to
web users.

Good Luck.
