hi ,
i m trying to connect thru my java code to the oracle on my system ,while creating the DSN it gives the error
"the specified module could not be found" for the file oci.dll.
earlier it was not able to look for the sqresus.dll which i copied to the winnt/system directory , and after this oci error is coming , anyone knowing it pls guide

To work around this problem.
I re-installed the client for oracle and it works now.

Right click My Computer, select Properties.
In the environment tab, select PATH under System Variables.
In the value field, append the following....
C:�your Oracle folder�bin;C:Program FilesOraclejre1.1.7bin

Hi all,

Can you pls. check the Corresponding dll whether that have all rights. that is some dll may have only Administrator rights. you can change your access rights as administrator and you can check.
it will work.

my windows is Xp professional , and when im trying to open softwares like yahoo booters or .... it says : system error &H8007007E (-2147024770) . The specfied module could not be found . what can i do ?

I added the specific path at my system variable but still I receive the error msg. that
The dynamic link library OCL.dll could not found in the specific path.

I have installed OraNet tool to connect Oracle 8i data base with my asp.net webform and also added the reference of the file CoreLab.Oracle.dll. A Oracle connection is established in the webfrom with proper UID,Password and connect string but while opening the connection following message is displayed

"Can not find ocl.dll "

and program terminates without executing. I have found through search result that no file like ocl.dll is existing on my PC. Please suggest some solution. Thanking you.

Help please!!!!

I'm trying to connect via XP to a dB using OpenOffice Base, and I receive the following error: Thou I can connect to the same dB using the same PC via MS Access with no errors.

Error:
The connection to the data source "New Database3" could not be established.

I select Ok, then another error comes up:
SQL Status: IM004

[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's SQLAllocHandle on SQL_HANDLE_ENV failed

My system variable path looks good to me thou:

C:\oracle\ora81\bin;C:\Program Files\Oracle\jre\1.1.7\bin;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~3\Office

Prior to the error above I do receive an error:

OCI.DLL
The specified module could not be found.

Any help would be nice, Thanks.
