Hi,

I'd like to know which are the steps and the products to migrate a Database from DB2 to ORACLE and how the CICS application can use the ORACLE DB instead of the previous DB2 DB.

Is necessarely modify the CICS application or do you suggest some products to support the integration of CICS application with the ORACLE DB without modify the CICS application ?

Hi, As far as my knowledge, Can't access Oracle directly from CICS i believe.Instead
1.You need to make CICS web enabled( IBM J2EE architecture) using CICS gateway and other products available from IBM available.Anyways no use of doing all these..Moreover you need to migrate data from DB2 to Oracle also..

2.CICS+VB application can access Oracle using ODBC/OLEDB i believe.

Oracle can be accessed from CICS. A product called Access Manager for CICS is delivered with database software for the mainframe.
