When i try to install oracle 8i on redhat linux 7.2
i am not able to solve the following error.
error:
./runInstaller
Inititalizing Java virtual machine from /usr/local/java/bin/jre
Please wait...
error:
In CreateOUIProcess()-1
no such file or directory.
n.b. I have installed jre in /usr/java/bin

Please type the following command before running the installer
# export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5
# ./runInstaller
Now you favourite oracle installer will open and you can do a cool installation.
revert back if still have problems
Note:I assume that you have already installed
jdk1.1.8 version of java from www.blackdown.org
