Hi All,

I am very new to UNIX, and am having trouble getting an X-Windows program and actually getting it to work. Can anyone recommend a decent product and perhaps offer some guidance on setup.

I have the install notes for Oracle 9i on Solaris, so that is taken care of, its just being able to display the Oracle UI.

Many Thanks

Paul

Chances are your unix admin has an x-windows console. Try using one of theirs. You can also do it from a desktop PC by running X-windows s/w like "Hummingbird eXceed" or "Refelection-X". Setting up X-windows s/w is complex - I wouldn't go this route if you are pressed for time.
