Try something like this:
>nslookup `uname -n`
Server: my-dns.abc.com
Address: 111.111.1.11
Name: my-server.abc.com
Address: 111.123.123.23

$cat /etc/hosts
find the line containing your machine name, then you'll see the IP address is in front of it.
