hi

i hv setup LAN between windows & unix.
Telnet works well, but unix does not respond to ping, even for its own ip-addr.
Also from windows, ftp doesn't work.
Actually while starting my Unix i see some error messages like :
ip_output : TCP-IP not licenced.
Is my loaded unix wrong?

please HELP ME!!!

Hi,

See http://www.computing.net/networking/wwwboard/forum/18524.html:

"The ip_output provides the TCP destination to network layer. Depending on what flavor you have of UNIX or Linux I know there is a patch you will have to download to get your IP to work correctly. Go to the manufacturer web site for your UNIX/LINUX box and look for the TCP/IP patches."

Best regards.

Frank
