I installed Oracle 8.1.6 Client on Linux (Redhat 7.2) and I am having problems while compiling the demo of the OCI package.
As written in the manuals, I try the following:
make -f demo_rdbms.mk cdemo1
or
make -f demo_rdbms.mk demos
and I get the following error messages:
demo_rdbms.mk:1950: warning: overriding commands for target `libclntsh.so'
demo_rdbms.mk:1873: warning: ignoring old commands for target `libclntsh.so'
make -f demo_rdbms.mk build EXE=cdemo1 OBJS=cdemo1.o

Is there anyone who can help me?
