Hello,
I have a table partitioned by three columns. It has about 5Gb data. The advantage of the partitions is:
- Lower timeresolving querys
- I can make truncates of partitions (never deletes)
But, The numbers of partitions is over 1000 and continue growing..., is there any disadvantage in a high number of partitions???
Thanks

Hi,
I don't think there are any disadvantages of having thousands of partitions, except manageability. Though, separate tables or separate smaller partitioned tables will always be better!
Best regards.
