I can connect to Oracle with this methods.
But if I try to do this from a servlet, I get the "no more data to read from socket" exception. (from the getConnection method)

What's wrong ?

DriverManager.registerDriver(new oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver());

Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection ("jdbc:oracle:thin:@something:1721:dbms733", "scott", "tiger");

you r using the RegisterDriver command to register the Oracle drivers.remove that code and try it
