Dear

I want to change the name of the database, without making from import/export utility.

I have tried by changing the name in init.ora and the control file script. but while applying the control file script oracle delivers an error that

The name of the database differs from that in SYSTEM header.

Pl. let me know how can I be able to change the name of the database.
