1. data independence
2. Efficient data access
3. data identity and security
4. Data administration
5. Concurrent access and crash recovery

Also;

6. Menu based interfaces and browsing
7. Forms-based interfaces
8. Graphial user interfaces
9. Interfaces fro parameter users
10.Interfaces for DBA
