Hi,
I am having personal oracle 8.0.3 and also developer 2000 both forms 4.5 and forms 6.0. Both r they not compatiable with oracle 8.0.3 or is there any solution. Well i have installed both back end and developer on my system in different homes. The application and database is getting started. But when i connect database through form builder, it shows tns name could not resolve service name. and in personal oracle there is no funda of aliasing and how can i get the problem solved.
I would like to thank in advance for the solution provided if any
Thank you

Let the TNSNAMES.ORA file in your Dev/2000 homes point to the TNSNAMES.ORA file of your database. You could use the "IFILE=path_to_other_file". That way you are ure all TNSNAMES.ORA files are alligned.

BTW: Oracle 8.0.3 and Dev 2000 Rel.1 (Forms 4.5) have been desupported for ages now, consider an upgrade (especially you're database). If it's for personal training you're no longer up to date.
