My understanding of the difference between these
2 files is that both are executable, but that a server mechanism will go looking for the REP file
for a Oracle Report first; if it can't find it then it looks for the RDF file. But I believe the RDF file can contain either compiled or uncompiled code.
In this case does the system compile the report and then run it? If so then why do I sometimes get the message 'Report contains uncompiled PL/SQL?'.
Can anyone clarify?
