reports--order by not working in group level 2 [message #88842]

hi all!!!
i have create a report which is a group above---
three groups i have made
(1) first group have-->
company
address1
address2
state
(2) second group have -->
sales person name
(3) third group have
visit date
out come

i want that user select the order in which data displayed by company name or sales person name or by visit date wise
for this i pass the parameter through parameter form

by writing query
select------
order by :p_order

but data displayed in order of company name only might be because of company group is higher(group level 1) and all other at group level2 and 3...
plz suggest me how can i got the result desired order...

dont use groups since you want to decide the order by.
put the whole code in one group with a dynamic order by
you might create your own breaking groups in the layout editor but the main sql stays in 1 group.
