hi all,
I have the text box in which i want to enter 123.123 for this i can keep the text item as numeric and format mask of the text item as 999.999 but after entering the 12.123 this is becoming as a text so when ever i enter 123123 or some text it fires the same error so how can i make this as different from the text

Not too clear what the error is....
but if you enter 123.123 as a char then it should be fine, likewise as a number.
you should get an error if you enter 123123 as a number (not knowing the item data lengths)!
