Hello,

I thought with TEXT_IO it is possible to write to the client machine (and not to the AS server machine).

Can anybody confirm this ?
If I'm wrong, please tell me a way to write from a form into a file (csv format would be desirable) on the "CLIENT" machine.

Yes, TEXT_IO will write to the iAS server. You can use CLIENT_TEXT_IO to write files to the client's disk.

CLIENT_TEXT_IO is included in the WebUtil utility available from the OTN website.

TEXT_IO is not availiable in 10g and CLIENT_TEXT_IO can be slow.

Webutil is only required for the AS (and development machines if you want to test it)

Although if you have any developers they might want it too (or atleast the library code)
