we have a custom form(that we paid top dollars for) to have a third
party vendor develop for our operations. They will only send the
.fmx compiled version and refuse to send us the .fmb file.
Is there are way to extract the code from the .fmx module.
thanks for any help or tips

Then, why do you hire them?
As matter of fact, if they submit that fmb file to you,
you will quit to hire them anymore.
It is the legal staff not Oracle, there is no way to convert fmx into fmb. At lease, I never heard of that.

thanks Li...
it's a bit complicated to explain...we use third
party software to run the business applications
on Oracle. Some of this 'canned' product does not
meet our business logic needs to we contract with
them to provide 'custom' forms, procedures and/or
triggers.
They do send us the custom source code for the
other objects but refuse to send us custom .fmb
files.
hope this clarifies my question and reason for
asking
