Hi All,

I have oracle8i and i am trying to install designer6i and operating system is win98,While installing Repository Instance in Repository Administration Utility,it is giving an error "CKRAU6I saying "you do not have select privilege on sys.v_$parameters view.

can anybody help me out as how to proceed further to make the installation successful.

Any kind of help will be appreciated.

do you have to login when installing the repos?
if so, you should login with a user that has the above privilage (system/manager?)
