Editor not displaying in UNIX character mode [message #83249]

Hi,
I have used EDIT_FIELD Built-in to invoke an editor in the run mode of my forms6.0 application.

When the form is put in the IBM AIX machine(character mode), the editor is not displaying in the run mode.
It is working perfectly in the GUI mode.

I've tried with SHOW_EDITOR also but no use.

Please help me regarding this.

unix has its own editor know as the VI-editor.. you should try to run that on unix. so use a unix command in your forms like : host('run vi-editor');

This is a bug of Oracle forms 6i,pls download the latest set of patch form metalink..This fixes the bug
