Hi all,

Has anyone worked on enabling users to drag and drop a URL Path from one IE window into another running an Oracle Form? I'm evaluating whether to give a customer this ability.

They would like to download documents locally so that we can apply 3rd party indexing engines to the documents. I'd like to allow them to drag and drop the URLs into a form. When they commit, I'd like the form to use utl_http request on the URL and write the results to a bfile.

What components are required? Is this a very difficult effort? Do I have to reinvent the wheel or has someone already created a library or an API for this?
