Hi,
Thanks very much for the wonderful solution, but I'm sorry to convey you
that I can't use ref cusror , as it is Developer 2000 system.
So If u could pls. find some other solution.
Could u pls. find when the alert and error message comes, the solution
should be using some code in Forms.
Pls. help me some other solution.

The ref cursor is placed on the database, not on the client side. You need the Fun$lock_record to be placed on the server side. In an 8i (or higher) environment, it should work.
