Hi,

I have a problem that I don't know how to restrore a web file from IFS server.

Our customers use our application developed in Oracle 9i on Linux redHat enterprise 2.1 server, and they open and save their Word documents by using IFS server.

I take a full backup with offline database.
My problem: If my customer deletes a web Word document from IFs server and calls me after 2 days and said me to help him to restore his file, I won't can to restore it unfortnately because I don't know how to do it.

I'm looking for a solution for this a problem.

you have to do a uncomplete backup until the time of dataloss on another machine. then extract the file and put it into the live database.
imho there's no other possibility of restoring it.
