Hello,
Can someone tell me how to determine the NLS_LANGUAGE setting in Oracle 9i AS? I inherited a couple 9i AS servers, and now have been asked to make sure this setting matches this in our Oracle database. Thanks!

If it's 9iAS 9.0.2, go to your EM webpage (http://host:1810 by default). In the infrastructure tier, view the DAD properties under:
<infrastructure tier) > HTTP server > PL/SQL Properties
then check each DAD. The value would be like AMERICAN_AMERICA.US7ASCII. It definitely makes a difference if you are displaying BLOBS etc in PL/SQL web apps, but I haven't seen problems with plain HTML web apps.
You can also see the settings in {infrastructure home}/Apache/modplsql/conf/dads.conf for 9.0.2. I think 9.0.1 was in the same location, but different file.
