I've installed 9iAS rel.2 on windows 2000 server. The server ip address was x.x.0.10. Next I changed the ip address to x.x.3.10. The result is: I can't log in as ias_admin but I'm sure that the password is right.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks Mark

Hi Mark-
Changing the IP was not a supported operation for 9iAS rel. 2 (see the release notes addendum on OTN:
http://otn.oracle.com/docs/products/ias/doc_library/90200win_otn/relnotes.902/addendum/main.htm#1007161 ). The behavior you're describing is expected if you change the IP address. I believe this might be addressed in one of the patchsets (9021 or 9022).
Thanks.

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply. Oracle iAS 10g (9.0.4) now
supports this with the supplied chgihost.sh (or
chgiphost.bat) script.

* Mid-tier - one can change the IP and/or HOSTNAME
* Infrastructure - one can only change the
IP-address, not the HOSTNAME

Best regards.

Frank
