Hi,
I've installed Oracle 9i database on windows 2000 advance server. Now I'm not able to connect the database :-(
should i create a database (how?) ?

problem is not clear. when installing 9idb it will create a database. if not creatte db with oracle dattabase config asst. then try to connect.
also check if oracle db service is running and tnslistener is up and running...tell me the error no.
tns protocol adapter or ...oracle not available.?????????

This is the common error. open netconfig asst. click local net naming services and then enter the details of local host and database.
then try 'test the connection'

I do not know the steps to be followed for oracle 9i installation. Like:
1) If we need to install both D2K and oracle on same system then which one to load first?
2) Do we need to give seprate oracle home for D2K and Oracle etc.
Please help me.
