Hi Everyone,

Looking at previous messages, It seems that replication does not support tables with LONG columns.

Does 9i overcome this limitation??

Thanks .... IA

Hi,

Unfortunately not. The following from the Oracle9i Advanced Replication Guide:

"Oracle does not support the replication of columns that use the LONG and LONG RAW datatypes. Oracle simply omits columns containing these datatypes from replicated tables. You should convert LONG datatypes to LOBs."

Best regards.
