Hello every one...the reason I am asking you my question is because all the oracle dealers in my country and even in the region can not answer this silly question.
we have 2 servers dell 1550 with Intel processors and 2 nic each and win2000 advanced server installed and we have a NAS (dell powervault 750N) as a shared storage for our net work the 2 nodes and the nas are connected to a switch (ethernet) we need to install oracle rac, what kind of changes to our hardware we need to make is it necessary to replace the NAS with a SCSI RAID controller, what dose oracle cluster means (hardware wise), what is the relation between microsoft cluster and oracle cluster ,

You cannot use NAS with RAC because clustering does not work over network file systems. You need either a SAN-config or physically connected disks/array.

You might want to use one nic in each server for a private network so the servers can communicate freely (Fast or GBit Ethernet)
