I recently installed and configured OEM v2.2.0.
We are using Windowns NT 4.0 Server Platform and
Oracle 8i v 8.1.7 db.

Attempting to perform the first userexp from OEM
(approx 7 gig) the following error occurs when the
job schedule starts:

dbsnmp.exe initialization failed
C:Winnt40System32Kernel32 failed

the OEM job output error message states:
'Operating System Resource Shortage'.

I know the cause of the problem lies within
the Oracle Intelligent Agent...in what capacity..
not sure.

If someone can pinpoint me in the right direction
I'd be mighty obliged.

Denise

Verify the target server's Oracle Software is installed in an ORACLE_HOME and
and not directly under the root.

For example, if your ORACLE_HOME location is "c:", then remove Oracle off
this machine and reinstall it under "c:ora8i" or some other directory under
the local drive.
