Hi,
we are upgrading drives in our machine and old drives need to be removed. I'll have to rebuild database from scratch. Is there any way how to do that with recovery manager? I'll take level 0 backup of database and archived redo logs before shutdown. Also my rman catalog is on other machine and will be available during restore.
Thank you,
Radek

I would just shut it down and do a full OS backup. Then when you restore it all your directories and files will be there and it should come right up. Do a full export before you shut it down just in case as a secondary backup.
