Hi,

I am using Oracle 9i (Enterprise Edition) on windows 2000.

I am having 3 databases running on machine. however unable to see those in Management Server. When I tried to refresh nodes discover nodes I was prompted for Machine name which I put as excel.flatdomain.com but I got error then I refreshed and gave IP address still got an error.

I restarted all the following services but still could not manage to add the database. Please suggest ( I am logging as 'sysman').

OracleOraHome90Agent
OracleOraHome90HTTPServer
OracleOraHome90ManagementServer
OracleOraHome90TNSListener
OracleServicedb2
OracleServicedb3
OracleServicedb9
OracleServiceOEMREP

Please suggest and help, I have tried this at least 15 times unsuccessfully.

Regards,

Pratap

Hi,

Check the status of agents on machines where your 3 databases are running. You can do this by :

agentctl status

If the agent is not running then just run it on each machine by :

agentctl start

After running agents on all the machines try to discover the nodes from EM. Also sure whether you are able to ping from your EM machine to your DB machines. If not so first check the network.

Best of Luck

hi,
Please verify if you created the OMS database successfully . Actually that is the initial step.
You can check the oms.log file located in ORACLE_HOME .

Cheers
