Hello

When i'd like to create DB link on my new database, like in the older one. Oracle always put the domain name after the DB link Name. I have :

DBlink.domain.com instead of DBlink

All the softwware are looking for a link Called DBlink, i don't understand why oracle in (OEM) put the domain name ???

Thanks,

Metos

Hi Metos,

Check you init.ora/spfile for the parameters concerning DB_DOMAIN / GLOBAL_NAMES etc.
If you don't specify these values Oracle will either use what your TCP/IP configuration indicates or use WORLD.COM ( As far as remember right nowe ;)
